Aim : Help develop and build the participant’s
confidence in using English for their everyday use. Participants would be
assessed through out the session.

Revisiting the basic aspects in grammar
Use of articles, determiners, pronouns,
conjunctions, prepositions & SVA
|

Component 2
|
Participants’ understanding when reading a text
and identifying topic sentences, main ideas, supporting ideas/details,
summary and interface
|
|
Component 3
|
Working on delivery skills when giving short
speeches which include opening/introductory speech, making memorable
concluding remarks, summarizing the main points of a speech and pronunciation
|
|
Component 4
|
Provide participants the opportunity to
understand the theory of group communication and how best it could be
implemented
|
|
Component 5
|
Writing activities which include writing short
speeches at the sentence and paragraph level (in stages) like working on the
introduction, preview, outlines, main ideas, supporting ideas, summary and
concluding remarks
